Substance use disorder symptoms can include:

Strong urges to use the substance

Problems at school, work or at home - especially with completing tasks

Using the substance in risky situations, no matter the consequences

High tolerance for substances or withdrawal

People with substance use problems usually build up tolerance and need more of it to achieve the same effects.
