Thank you to our community for joining together in A Sharing of Cultural Histories for Urban Natives event. After many months of isolation, it was renewing to sit together, enjoy a delicious meal and most importantly share cultural knowledge and the ways in which our tribes in Wisconsin are uniquely different. We truly appreciate everyone who kept the event safe by wearing their masks and maintaining physical distancing. We are looking forward to when we can have even more people around each table! We are especially grateful to our wonderful speakers who sacrificed much to be here and who traveled across the state to share their knowledge with our American Indian Council community. Our speakers were Kirby Metoxen (Oneida Nation of Wisconsin), Sue Lemieux (Bad River Ojibwe of Wisconsin), Stephan Grochowski (Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin) and Jon Greendeer (Ho-Chunk Nation).
